RECLAIMING THE PAST
The historic flow of water from the St. Johns River through Lake Jesup had been interrupted for years by a causeway and small bridge along SR46 in Geneva. Restoration efforts to remove the causeway and reopen the water connection to the lake are almost complete.
The short film will examine how Lake Jesup is “turning back the clock” on water exchange with the St. Johns river and how other projects around the state can benefit from the diligence of grassroots efforts on behalf of Florida’s natural resources.
